From seed collected from the wonderful Pukerau Nursery in NZ, we selected this particularly interesting clone. Wiry, silver tinted stems give way to black, green centered leaves on a densely contorting, divaricating shrub to about 6' eventually. From the Devil's Staircase formation near the tip of the South Island, it should be among the hardiest of the species, but who really cares
